New–HAS Children’s Garden!

HAS’ newest garden is one planned for the enjoyment of children and their families who visit Monument Valley Park. A small, underutilized area between the HAS Demonstration Garden and the historic Caretaker’s Cottage will be the location for the HAS Children’s Garden.

With the help of a generous grant from Colorado Garden Foundations, work began in March 2019 for a number of additions to the area that will become the Children’s Garden including whimsical metal fencing, pollinators’ house, pathway, and low stone walls. Small planting beds will display a Colorado garden, veggie & herb garden, pollinator garden, and texture/color garden. With the help of a grant from Friends of Extension, informational signage will complete the garden.
