Heirlooms, hybrids, open pollinated, GMO – the much-loved tomato can seem to be a complicated plant! Whether you are a new or experienced gardener, you’ll enjoy learning more about tomatoes as well as how to grow them in your own garden. Though the Pikes Peak area presents some growing challenges, you can have success growing tomatoes either from seed or from purchased plants.

Carey Harrington has been gardening in the Pikes Peak region for almost twenty years. She is a Certified Colorado Gardener as well as a Colorado Native Plant Master. She contributes to the highly regarded “Gardening in the Pikes Peak Area Garden Help” blog at http://peakgardening.wordpress.com
